Before starting the Rogue Mega Rush, make sure that the team you have in your party is the one you want to use. Have them all at level 100, and double check their moves and items to see if that's what you want for them.
You will not be able to change any part of your team once you start the Rogue Mega Rush.

Unlike when you first battled these Rogue Mega Pokemon, you cannot use healing items or access your Satchel at all during the Rogue Mega Rush. This means you'll have to rely only on avoiding damage, using Held Items that provide healing, or using Pokemon moves that can heal if you don't want your Pokemon to get knocked out.
Take note that damage carries over to the next battle, so it's best to take as little damage as possible for each battle.
Although you cannot use healing items, you will be given the option to heal your whole team at the end of each battle. This is best used strategically, since you only have 3 heals that you can use.
Try to space out when you use your heals, and try not to heal unless multiple Pokemon on your team need healing.
There is no time limit to completing the Rogue Mega Rush. You won't have to worry about being kicked out of the battle area for taking too long. However, your battle time will be recorded if you successfully complete the Rogue Mega Rush challenge. The NPC you talk to for the challenge will keep a record of your best times.

| 1 | Use Pumpkaboo’s Trick-or-Treat to add the Ghost type to the opponent. |

| 2 | Switch to Annihilape |
| 3 | Use Focus Energy, Screech, and Bulk Up. The key is to take this time to bait attacks so Annihilape takes hits, powering up Rage Fist. |
| 4 | Attack with Rage Fist, preferably as a Plus Move when possible. |
| 5 | Repeat steps 3-4 until you win. |
By turning the opponent into a Ghost type with Trick-or-Treat, Rage Fist becomes super effective against most Pokemon. Since Rage Fist increases in power each time Annihilape takes damage, unleashing it after taking multiple hits results in devastating damage.
Thanks to Trick-or-Treat, this strategy works regardless of the opponent’s original typing, so this is a reliable way to deal with this gauntlet of Pokemon with a variety of types. Take note that Dark types will take neutral instead of super effective damage, so you may want to use a Fairy-type Pokemon against them instead.
It's recommend to switch Pokemon when dealing against Fire-type opponents that can burn your Annihilape such as Mega Camerupt, Mega Dragonite, Mega Heatran, and Primal Groudon. The Burn status condition reduces your physical damage output, and you cannot get rid of it since you cannot use items. Bring a strong Water-type such as Kyogre or a strong Ground-type such as Zygarde to deal with them instead.
Pokemon that can poison you such as Mega Victreebel, Mega Beedrill, and Mega Venusaur should also be approached with caution. Annihilape may be able to recover the damage dealt by poison, but it can become a problem over time. You can use Gourgeist's Safeguard to protect you from status conditions for a short while if you're up against a Pokemon that can inflict status conditions.
Paralysis, on the other hand, is a relatively safe status condition to be suffering from. It won't be very detrimental if you don't heal it off, and it may actually help protect you from the more debilitating status conditions.

You can add an extra Gourgeist and Annihilape on your team if you only want to do the Trick-or-Treat Rage Fist strategy. However, if you want to add other Pokemon to you team, these are some of the best ones to have.
It's especially valuable to have Pokemon who can heal themselves or their teammates. Gardevoir, Xerneas, Darkrai, and Kyogre are all strong Pokemon who have moves that allow them to heal themselves. Other Pokemon who can use HP-draining moves such as Draining Kiss, Leech Life, Giga Drain, and Drain Punch can also be considered.
Legendary Pokemon are also recommended, since these have a higher base stat total compared to other Pokemon. They tend to have strong defenses and offenses that allow them to last longer in a grueling battle gauntlet such as this.

Upon completing the Rogue Mega Rush challenge, you will be given the title Mega Rush Master. This can be equipped through Titles under Link Play.
