Iron Defense is a Move learned by Metagross in Pokemon UNITE. Learn the effects of Iron Defense, as well as its damage at each level, cooldown time, level to learn and upgrade, status effects it inflicts, and all Pokemon builds using Iron Defense.

Iron Defense Effect

The user is granted a shield, and the user's next basic attack becomes a boosted attack.

How to Use Iron Defense

Win Early Engagements

Iron Defense grants Metagross a shield and makes its next attack into a Boosted Attack. Utilize the shield to mitigate damage, and use the Boosted Attack to quickly deplete the opponents' HP and win fights.

Execute Boosted Attacks One After the Other

Another use of this move is resetting the Boosted Attack count so we can execute boosted attacks one after the other. This mechanic is not as spammable as Cinderace however, since Iron Defense has a pretty lengthy cooldown.

Steal Wild Pokemon

Use the free Boosted Attack when Metagross uses Iron Defense to steal wild Pokemon from opponents. The shield should give Metagross enough protection to move towards opponents and steal their farm.

Iron Defense Patch History

1.13.1.4 Shield value increased by 100%. Boosted attack damage after the move increased by 30%.
