Shadow Sneak Effect

Has the user extend its shadow, marking an opposing Pokemon it hits as a shadow target for a short time. If the shadow passes through tall grass or a wall, it extends further. If the user deals damage to an opposing Pokemon marked as a shadow target, additional damage is dealt based on the percentage of HP that the opposing Pokemon has lost. If this move is used again, the user moves to an opposing Pokemon marked as a shadow target, deals damage to it, and extends the duration of that Pokemon's shadow mark. If the user knocks out a Pokemon marked as a shadow target, this move's cooldown is reset and the user recovers HP.

How to Use Shadow Sneak

Extend Range By Aiming Towards Walls and Grass

Shadow Sneak's range can be extended by aiming towards walls and grass. Use this mechanic to target the backlines or catch up to fleeing opponents.

Utilize the Increased Damage Effect

Whenever Mimikyu deals damage to the marked target, it deals additional damage that is based on a percentage of the target's missing HP. Take advantage of this effect by attacking or using Mimikyu's other moves.

Be Cautious when Teleporting

Always be aware of the situation before deciding to teleport to the target. It's best to wait until it's relatively safe to teleport to the target's location to avoid putting Mimikyu in a dangerous position. Remember that Mimikyu can opt out of teleporting simply by not using the move once it the shadow hits a target.

Use the Teleport as a Mobility Tool

Mmikyu can take advantage of Shadow Sneak's teleport mechanic and use it to traverse the map faster. It can be useful for chasing or escaping opponents.

Utilize the Cooldown Reset Mechanic

Whenever Mimikyu knocks out an opponent that's marked by Shadow Sneak, the move's cooldown resets immediately. This also works for wild Pokemon, which can turn the move into a farming tool. Utilize this mechanic to jump from one target to another after each knockout.
