Lapras Express Effect

Has the user ride a wave quickly and continuously forward. The user's movement speed increases while riding but decreases if the user hits an obstacle. If the user hit an opposing Pokemon, the user stops in place, dealing damage to and throwing the opposing Pokemon. While the user is riding the wave, one nearby ally Pokemon of the user's choice can ride on its back. If this move is used again, the user stops and launches a wave that continues moving forward, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon it hits and throwing them. Ally Pokemon riding on the user's back can dismount and use moves while riding Lapras' back.

UNITE Move Effect

After using Lapras Express, the Pokemon gains the following buff(s) for a few seconds:

How to Use Lapras Express

Activate from Afar

Use Larpas Express from a great distance to gain momentum before ending the move or crashing towards enemies. Since Lapras' speed increases while the move is active, using Lapras Express from afar gives Lapras more space to accelerate.

Slow Down If Needed

When Lapras' speed during Lapras Express gets too high, the Pokemon becomes difficult to maneuver properly. To slow down, simply bump into on obstable like walls to decrease Lapras' speed if needed.

Take an Ally for a Ride

Once Lapras Express is activated, Lapras can take one ally to ride on its back. This mechanic is useful in various situations.

Save an Ally

One way to utilize the move's ride-along mechanic is to save allies. If there are allies who are in danger or need repositioning, picking them up and taking them to safety is a play Lapras can make.

Bring an Ally to the Frontlines

Another way of utilizing the ride-along mechanic is by picking up an ally that excels in fighting in the frontlines, particularly All-Rounders and Defenders. Since enemies caught within the move's area of effect when the move ends gets thrown up, the ally that was riding along with Lapras can easily follow up with its moves and take out targets.

Allies Can Hop Off Anytime

Allies that are being carried by Lapras Express can hop off whenever they want from Lapras' back. This is useful for Attackers or Speedsters that does not explicitly need to be in the front lines.

Allies Can Also Use Moves

Aside from the benefit of being mobile, allies can also use moves while riding Lapras. This is especially useful when you're using Pokemon with AoE moves like Pikachu's Thunderstorm!
