Solar Beam Effect

Has the user blast a bundled beam of light, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon in the area of effect. If this move hits any opposing Pokemon, the user gains one additional boost counter.

How to Use Solar Beam

Steal or Secure Boss Pokemon

Utilize Solar Beam's long range and high burst damage to steal boss Pokemon from enemies. This requires good timing and percise aiming to pull off.

Steal or Secure Wild Pokemon

You can also do the same when stealing or securing wild Pokemon.

Cast from a Distance

Since Solar Beam is easy to dodge, find a spot away from enemies so they can't react to it.

Use While in Grass

You can also cast it while inside grass so enemies won't see it coming.

Hit Multiple Opponents

Since Solar Beam's cooldown is reduced by one (1) for each opponent hit once it's upgraded, try to get a proper angle to hit as many opponents as you can. Doing so allows you to constantly use Solar Beam during teamfights.

Cast Through Light Screen

Casting Solar Beam through Light Screen improves its overall effect. If you're using Light Screen, always use it before Solar Beam to trigger the bonus effects.
