Light Screen Has the user create a translucent wall at the designated location. Opposing Pokemon cannot pass through the wall and will be shoved if they make contact with it. If the user's Electro Ball, Solar Beam, or Surf move passes through the wall, the effects of the move (such as damage, range, and area of effect) will be boosted. If this move is used again, it pulls the wall closer and has it move with the user. While the wall moves with the user, attacks from opposing Pokemon that pass through it will deal reduced damage.
Casting Electro Ball, Solar Beam, or Surf through Light Screen imporves their overall effect. Always cast Light Screen first before your other move to trigger their bonus effects.
The bonus effect also works after Light Screen's second activation.
Using Light Screen again moves the wall to Mew's position, reducing the enemies' attacks that pass through it. This mechanic is a great way to reduce incoming damage during teamfights, just make sure to time it well.
You can trap enemies by casting Light Screen adjacent or parallel to obstructions scattered in the map, particularly in tight spots like entrances. It is also good for saving allies when they're being chased. Remember that Light Screen shoves enemies as it travels to the destination.
