Barrage Blow Effect

Increases Movement Speed, attack, Defense, Sp. Defense for a short duration. If used again, unleashes a combo attack, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon in the area of effect and shoving them. The final blow deals an especially large amount of damage.

UNITE Move Effect

After using Barrage Blow, the Pokemon gains the following buff(s) for a few seconds:

How to Use Barrage Blow

Boosts Damage Dealt

Pokemon UNITE - Machamp Activating Close Combat after Unite Move

Barrage Blow is essentially a boosted combination of Close Combat and Bulk Up. This is your highest damage dealing skill and should be used early on to take advantage of the buffs it offers. Depending on your Move 2, you will either use this after Submission or use Dynamic Punch after the buff of this wears out.

Reposition Machamp to get Maximum Damage

Once Barrage Blow is activated, do not use the second activation immediately. Instead, take advantage of the boost in stats and reposition Machamp to get a direct hit on your targets. This ensures that you miss with the power move and be left vulnerable for a counterattack

Barrage Blow Patch History

1.2.1.3 Fixed a bug with the shove effect. Fixed a bug with the move being used on super jump pads.
1.16.2.6 Punches are now performed immediately upon activation. Defense/Sp. Def. increased from 200 to 250. Movement speed buff increased from 5% to 10%. Attack speed buff decreased from 30% to 25%. Duration decreased from 10s to 8s.
