Charge Beam Effect

Has the user charge power before firing an electric beam in the designated direction. If this move hits opposing Pokemon, the user's Sp. Atk. is increased for a short time, and the user stores electric power. If the user stores electric power twice within a short time, it can use a boosted version of Charge Beam. The boosted version has the user continuously fire an electric beam in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon in the area of effect. A maximum of 2 uses can be kept in reserve for this move.

How to Use Charge Beam

Charge It Up for Longer Range

Charging Charge Beam increases its range significantly. Use this mechanic to keep Miraidon away from opponents as it shocks them with Charge Beam. However, if an enemy is already near, Miraidon doesn't need to charge the move anymore and can quickly damage it.

Note:
Charging Charge Beam only increases its range, not its damage.

Get a Good Angle

Since Charge Beam deals damage in a line, it's best to get a good angle before using the move to maximize its damage.

Utilize the Boosted Version

Hitting opponents with Charge Beam twice within a set amount of time allows Miraidon to use the boosted version of the move. This version deals significantly more damage in total.

Move Around for Better Aim

When Miraidon uses a boosted Charge Beam, it will continuously fire in the designated direction, and its facing angle can't be change. However, Miraidon can still move around while casting it.

After getting a good angle and firing a boosted Charge Beam, always move around to stay on top of targets for the duration.

Set Up with Thunder

Use Thunder to set up Charge Beam. The slow and homing effect from Thunder makes it easier for Miraidon to hit opponents with Charge Beam.
