Bullet Punch Effect

Bullet Punch In-Game.jpg

Has the user dash in the designated direction and strike opposing Pokemon with tough punches. If this move hits opposing Pokemon, its cooldown is reduced, and the user recovers a portion of its HP based on the amount of damage dealt. If Bullet Punch is used again within a set amount of time, the number of punches and the amount of damage dealt increase. The number of punches increases from three to a maximum of five.

How to Use Bullet Punch

Get Close to Targets

Although Scizor performs a dash when using Bullet Punch, it's still best to get close to your targets first before using it since the range of the dash is very short. Doing so ensures the move hits and triggers its effects. You can use your Battle item or your other moves to get closer.

Utilize the Healing

Just like Dual Wingbeat, you can recover HP if you hit enemies with Bullet Punch. However, there's no special condition to trigger it other than hitting enemies, making it easier to recover HP.

Use it on Wild Pokemon

You can also use Bullet Punch on wild Pokemon like Swablu and Altaria to heal yourself instead of going all the way back to base or an allied goal zone.

Utilize the Cooldown Reduction

On top of the healing effect, hitting enemies with Bullet Punch also reduces its cooldown, allowing you to use it more frequently. Utilize this effect in duels or teamfights so you can dish out damage more frequently than your opponents.

Use the Enhanced Bullet Punch

Using the move again within the set amount of time after using Bullet Punch increases the number of punches Scizor throws, dealing more damage as a result. This is in line with the cooldown reduction since it allows you to quickly use Bullet Punch with an increased number of punches before the timer expires.
