All Moves by Damage Dealt |
Has the user launch all of its stored ice crystals in rapid succession at the designated opposing Pokemon. If the user has no ice crystals when this move is used, 2 ice crystals are instantly created and those are launched. The crystals shatter when they hit the designated Pokemon, dealing damage to the opposing Pokemon in the area of effect. Launched ice crystals can hit Pokemon on the opposing team that are not the designated target of this move. If this occurs, the ice crystals will still shatter on impact and deal damage in an area of effect in the same way. Ice crystals launched by this move deal increasing damage each time they hit the same opposing Pokemon. After this move is used, the cooldown of Ice Shard or Freeze-Dery is reduced.
You can kite your target by moving around while casting Icicle Spear, especially against melee Pokemon.
You can increase the number of projectiles Icicle Spear shoots out by standing inside Glacial Stage since doing so gives you 1 Ice Crystal charge per second. As a result, you can deal more damage using Icicle Spear.
Use Ice Shard while channeling Icicle Spear to gain two (2) additional Ice Crystals, dealing more damage. In most situations, the two (2) additional Ice Crystals make a huge difference in the outcome of a fight, so make it a habit to use Ice Shard during Icicle Spear.
Ice Shard: Glaceon Move Effect and Cooldown
Each time you use Icicle Spear, Ice Shard's or Freeze-Dry's cooldown is reduced. Utilize this effect by casting those moves first before Icicle Spear, allowing to quickly use them again. This tactic is effective when securing boss Pokemon since you can easily shred through their HP with Icicle Spear.
Although you can only use Icicle Spear on one target, each projectile actually deals area damage around the target when they shatter. Given this, you can maximize Icicle Spear's effectiveness by using it on grouped enemies. This is also a great way to farm grouped wild Pokemon like the Swablu and Altaria camps.
