Has the user wag its tail at an opposing Pokemon, dealing damage and decreasing that Pokemon's Defense, Sp. Def, and movement speed for a short time. The user's next basic attack after using this move becomes a boosted attack.

How to Use Tail Whip

Set Up Early Game Kills

Tail Whip's Defense, Sp. Def., and movement speed reductions are great for setting up kills. It also has great synergy with Sp. Atk Pokemon, amplifying their moves' damage.

Utilize the Boosted Attack

Since your next attack become a Boosted Attack each time you use Tail Whip, it's best to always follow up with an attack for maximum damage. The move becomes more effective once you learn Icicle Spear or Icy Wind, allowing you to quickly gain ice shards from your Boosted Attacks.
