Has the user release a pulse of water centered on itself that spreads out, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon it hits and decreasing their movement speed. For each opposing Pokemon hit by a pulse from this move, an additional pulse will be released the next time this move is used, up to a total of 2 extra pulses. After the first pulse after activating this move hits an opposing Pokemon, the user's next basic attack becomes a boosted attack.
Keep hitting enemies with Water Pulse to stack up on pulses. Doing so ensures that the move will do maximum damage.
Note: Remember that hitting wild Pokemon can also stack pulses. |
Always follow up with a Boosted Attack after using Water Pulse. Since using Water Pulse makes Lapras' next attack a Boosted Attack, it's best to utilize that Boosted Attack to recover some HP and keep Lapras alive.
Keep enemies slowed by staying on top of them while spamming Water Pulse. This allows Lapras to control enemy movement and set up for its allies, especially during teamfights.
