Has the user exhale a mist of darkness in a horizontal sweeping motion, dealing damage to any opposing Pokemon it hits. If an opposing Pokemon's remaining HP is below a set percentage - or falls below that percentage as a result of this move- that Pokemon becomes unable to move for a short time. If this move hits an opposing Pokemon again within a set amount of time, it deals additional damage. If this move is used while the user's piercing strength has been increased by Ancient Power, the user can ignore opposing Pokemon's Defense and shield effects for a longer duration.
Dark Pulse's set time before the bonus damage effect expires is about 8 seconds.
Dark Pulse's damage increases if you hit targets twice within the set amount of time. Succeeding applications will only deal damage equal to the capped damage and not more than that.
You can still move while casting Dark Pulse, allowing you to get a better position and hit as many targets as possible.
Dark Pulse's damage increases when you hit targets twice. Utilize this effect by hitting targets multiple times with Dark Pulse to keep dealing increased damage.
Note: Only targets who were hit by the first Dark Pulse will receive the increased damage. |
If targets are below a set percentage or falls below it as a result of the move, they will be stunned for a short time. You can easily trigger this by hitting targets that are already on low HP or by spamming Dark Pulse until the effect triggers.
When you hit targets with Dark Pulse while under the piercing strength effect of Ancient Power, you can prolong that effect. You can achieve this just by making sure you hit targets with Ancient Power.
