Has the user launch five sharp-edged leaves in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon they hit before sticking into the ground for a short time. If this move is used again, the leaves return to the user and deal damage to opposing Pokemon they hit along the way. If the leaves are returned to the user after a set amount of time has passed since they stuck into the ground, they deal increased damage. If all five leaves hit one Pokemon, the user is granted a shield.
Razor Leaf will only do maximum damge if all projectiles hit a target for the first and second activation. To achieve this, Leafeon needs to get close as possible to a target when using it initially and as the projectiles return to the Pokemon.
Leafeon can use any of its dash moves, its Boosted Attack, and/or Eject Button or X Speed to quickly get close.
When all projectiles hit one target, Leafeon gains a shield. Utilize this mechanic to allow Leafeon to survive longer in fights. Remember that a shield is granted for both the first and second activation of the move as long as all projectiles hit one target.
Razor Claw's second activation deals increased damage after a set amount of time passes after the projectiles stick to the ground. With that in mind, it's best to wait a few seconds after using the move initially before activating the move again. Doing so maximizes the move's damage output.
To ensure that Razor Leaf deals maximum damage, hitting targets with the move's second activation is a must. However, since opponents will most likely be constantly moving during fights, repositioning to a spot where the projectiles can hit targets as they return to Leafeon is neccessary.
Leafeon can use any of its dash moves and/or Eject Button or X Speed to repositiong quickly.
