Tri Attack Effect

Tri Attack In-Game.jpg

Has the user attack with its beaks in a cone in front of itself, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon and applying one of the following random effects: a decrease to Attack and damage over time for a set amount of time, a decrease to basic attack speed, or a decrease to movement speed. When the user's sprint gauge is full, the user instead shoots out three projectiles-one red, one yellow, and one blue–in the designated direction. If a projectile hits an opposing Pokemon, the projectile deals damage and applies one of the aforementioned effects based on its color. After this move is used, the user's next basic attack deals additional damage and restores some of the user's HP. A maximum of two uses can be kept in reserve for this move.

How to Use Tri Attack

Switch Between Ranged and Melee Attacks

By default, Tri Attack is a melee move, but it turns into a ranged move if you use it with a full Sprint gauge, giving some flexibility. Switching between attacks depends on the situation you're in but is a good tactic overall.

Use Melee Attacks for Quick Combos

Since the melee attack has a fast animation, it's useful for doing quick combos. Although it deals less damage than the ranged attack, it does offer you a quick source of damage for urgent situations.

Kite Enemies with Ranged Attacks

Use the ranged attacks to kite enemies while constantly moving around. This tactic becomes more effective against melee Pokemon since you can keep them at bay.

Utilize the Bonus Damage and Healing Effect

Always follow up with an attack each time you use Tri Attack since your next basic attack will deal increased damage and will heal you. This is useful during intense teamfights or duels, increasing your chances of winning them.

Use Each Charge Wisely

Although it's tempting to just use all Tri Attack's charges quickly to deal damage, you can make creative plays if you use them as part of a combo.
