Increases the speed and area of effect of the user's next three basic attacks. If these basic attacks hit from a distance, they also deal increased damage, restore the user's HP, and can ignore the Defense stat and shield effects of opposing Pokémon they hit.

Aqua Tail's healing effect is based on Azumaril's max HP, not the damage dealt. It heals for about 9% of Azumarill's max HP.

How to Use Aqua Tail

Maximize the Range

Pokemon UNITE - Aqua Tail Maximum Range Damage
Try to keep targets at the edge of Aqua Tail's maximum range. This will deal the highest possible damage for each target hit.

You can achieve this by moving around while attacking.

Utilize the Cooldown Reduction

Pokemon UNITE - Aqua Tail Cooldown Reduction Effect

Once Aqua Tail is upgraded, you can now reduce the cooldown of your other moves each time you hit an enemy at maximum range. This allows you to spam your moves and deal more damage during fights.

1.7.1.7 Level learned changed to level 4. Cooldown decreased from 8s to 7s (-1s). Aqua Tail +: Level learned changed to level 10. Cooldown reduction increased.
1.6.1.2 Damage increased from 596 to 696 (+17%). HP recovery increased. Cooldown reduced from 9.5s to 8s.
1.5.1.6 Damage increased.
1.5.1.2 Faster Normal Attacks. Wider Range. Furthest Range Hit Increases Damage and Heals HP
