How to Get Zeraorite
Complete Side Mission EX3: Raging Lightning
You can get the Zeraorite Mega Stone once you complete Side Mission EX3: Raging Lightning, which features a battle against Zeraora. You need to complete Mega Dimension's DLC as well as finish EX1 and EX2 to gain access to this mission.
Note that trainers cannot obtain the Zeraorite through regular playthrough and they can only have one type of each Mega Stone per save file.

Before you can encounter Mega Zeraora, you need to make a Plasma-Glazed Donut. This donut has point requirements to make it; you can follow the recipe above to make the donut.
To obtain the Recipe, you must first trade with the boy on the roof of Vert Sector 3, giving him a Canari Bread to receive the Popping Candy. Take the Popping Candy to Ansha to reveal the requirements for the Plasma-Glazed Donut.

The Zeraorite is used to Mega Evolve Zeraora which temporarily buffs their base stats and changes their abilities. This can be accomplished by equipping the stone to the relevant Pokemon, then filling up and activating the Mega Power bar.
