Real Time Battles
In this new installment Pokemon Battles are now in real time instead of turn based. Trainers will get to command their Pokemon's position on the battlefield and each move's use will have a cooldown. Some moves will take effect differently from previous games such as the move Double Team, which dodges enemies' attacks with the right timing.
Z-A Royale Tournament
The new main battle of objective in this game, called the Z-A Royale Tournament is to rank up from Z to A through challenging trainers in battle zones and taking up promotional matches. It is said that the player who is able to reach the top rank will be able to make a wish.
Z-A Battle Club
Challenge up to four other players in the new game mode called the Z-A Battle Club. Within the time limit, collect items to boost your gameplay, use attacks with a wide reach and defeat the most Pokemon to win.
Character Customization
A feature making its return is customizing characters with different clothes, makeup and hairstyles. Trainers will get to play around with brand new options.
Mega Evolutions and Rogue Mega Pokemon
Another returning feature in this game is Mega Evolutions. Coming from the same region as where the Mega Evolution mechanic started, the game includes past Mega Evolutions and introduces newer ones to this generation. However, a new addition involves defeating strong Mega Pokemon in the wild called Rogue Mega Pokemon.
New Mega Evolution Pokemon in Legends Z-A
Set Only in Lumiose City
Unlike other Pokemon games, Pokemon Legends: Z-A is set only in Lumiose City, a city that is facing urban redevelopment to strengthen the bonds between people and Pokemon. Because it is only set in one city, explorable content will be expanded compared to its past version.
