Has the user race forward in the designated direction while spinning, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon in its path. The user also stores electric power. If the user stores electric power twice within a short time, it can use a boosted version of Electro Drift. The boosted version has the user do a spinning attack aimed at the designated opposing Pokemon, dealing damage to any opposing Pokemon it hits. This move deals increased damage if the opposing Pokemon's remaining HP is low. A maximum of 2 uses can be kept in reserve for this move.
It's best to be strategic when using Electro Drift. Generally, using one charge of Electro Drift to dash in and another to dash out is the most effecient way to use the move, since it does leave Miraidon in a vulnerable position if it has no means of quickly moving out after dashing initially.
In certain situations, Electro Drift can also be used as a general mobility tool; just like any dash moves. It can also be used to move through walls.
Note: The boosted version of Electro Drift doesn't always allow Miraidon to move through walls. |
Hitting opponents with Electro Drift twice within a set amount of time allows Miraidon to use the boosted version of the move. This version deals significantly more damage in total.
It's best to get to a safe position first before using the boosted Electro Drift, since Miraidon can still be damaged while charging up. The boosted version has a time window for Miraidon to use it and an extremely long range, giving Miraidon enough time and space to set up the move.
However, going too far from the target is also not ideal since Miraidon will only travel a set distance. If the target is far from the maximum distance, the move will miss.
Electro Drift is a great move for finishing off low-HP targets since it deals increased damage to them.
