Foul Play Effect

Has the user charge, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon it hits and decreasing their movement speed. If the charge hits an opposing Pokemon, this move can be used again. If this move is used again, the user sweeps in front of itself with its tail, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon it hits, decreasing their movement speed, and shoving them. The second stage of this move deals increased damage based on the Attack of the opposing Pokemon hit in the first stage. The higher their Attack, the higher the damage.

How to Use Foul Play

Always Hit a Target with the First Dash

Generally, it's best to hit a target with Foul Play's first dash. Doing so allows Umbreon to use the move again, which deal more damage and shove enemies.

Use the First Dash on Attack-Type Pokemon

Use Foul Play's first dash on Attack-type Pokemon for maximum damage. The damage dealt from the second dash increases depending on the Attack stat of the Pokemon hit by the first dash.

Since Attack-type Pokemon typically have the highest Attack stat in the game, choosing them as the target for the first dash would be the ideal way to use the dash.

Utilize the Boosted Attack Reset

Once upgraded, Umbreon's attacks become Boosted Attack each time it uses Foul Play. Utilize this mechanic to do a quick combo and deal more damage. It's also a great way to recovery HP since Umbreon's Boosted Attacks also heal the Pokemon.

Use as a Mobility Tool

Foul Play can be used as a general mobility tool like Eject Button. The move's range is just slightly longer than Eject Button's, allowing Umbreon to cover more distance.

Traverse Walls

Use Foul Play to move pass walls in the map. The move's range is more than enough to allow Umbreon to pass to any wall. However, to successfully perform this trick, it's best to get as close to the wall as possible first before dashing.
