Bottle Caps are used to Hyper Train and increase IVs. Players can do so at the Justice Dojo by talking to an NPC.
Using Bottle Caps can only increase them one at a time while Gold Bottle Caps increases 6 Pokemon stats.

It is best to use your Bottle Caps for Ranked Battles, when you need the best stats for your strongest Pokemon. For other battles, its best to level up to get stronger since Bottle Caps are extremely rare.
