Vanilluxe Best Nature and Moveset for Story

Bold or Calm

Nature Stat Changes
Bold Defense, Attack
Calm SpDef, Attack

Due to Vanilluxe having very high Defensive stats, its best natures are either Bold or Calm to boost its Defense or Special Defense further.

Vanilluxe also has a better Special Attack stat compared to its Attack, so choosing one of the above natures allows Vanilluxe to still deal some damage with its Special Moves.

Alternative Natures

Nature Stat Changes
Relaxed Defense, Speed
Sassy SpDef, Speed

You can also give Vanilluxe either Relaxed or Sassy nature, allowing you to increase your Defense or Special Defense at the cost of reduced Speed.

Keep in mind that giving Vanilluxe any of the above two natures will increase the cooldown of moves, putting you at a disadvantage against faster Pokemon.

Use Mints to Change Natures

Mint Usage

If your Vanilluxe has a different Nature than the ones we recommend above, you can use a Mint to change its Nature.
Mints Locations and How to Change Nature

Best Vanilluxe Moveset for the Story

Move Type Cooldown
Mist Pokemon Ice Type Icon 10
Ice Beam Pokemon Ice Type Icon 8
Acid Armor Pokemon Poison Type Icon 9
Freeze-Dry Pokemon Ice Type Icon 9

We recommend the moves Ice Beam, Freeze-Dry, Acid Armor, and Mist when using Vanilluxe during the main story.
