How to Increase Pichu's Friendship Fast

Equip Soothe Bell and Go to Cafes

It is recommended to have your Pichu hold a Soothe Bell in order for its friendship growth to increase by an extra 50% every time it levels up. You can obtain this after completing the sub mission, "Some Friendly Competition".

You can increase friendship by going to cafes, using Vitamins or Feathers, and walking around with Pichu.

Pichu Best Nature and Moveset for Story

Modest or Timid

Nature Stat Changes
Modest SpAtk, Attack
Timid Speed, Attack

Since Pichu is a Fast Special Attacker, it's best Nature is either Modest or Timid to boost its Special Attack or Speed further, while reducing its Attack stat.

Alternative Natures

Nature Stat Changes
Mild SpAtk, Defense
Rash Speed, SpDef

You can also give Pichu either Mild or Rash nature, if you will mainly use it for Story Content.

Keep in mind that giving Pichu any of the above two natures will increase the damage it receives, making it less ideal for Competitive Play and harder post-game content.

Use Mints to Change Natures

Mint Usage

If your Pichu has a different Nature than the ones we recommend above, you can use a Mint to change its Nature.
