When the user is not attached to an ally Pokemon, it attaches itself to the designated ally Pokemon and grants it a shield. When the user is attached to an ally Pokemon, it charges power before making opposing Pokemon in the area of effect infatuated. Infatuated Pokemon approach the user against their will. The longer power is charged, the larger the area of effect; and the more flowers that are consumed, the longer Pokemon are infatuated. If the user releases, it will stop being attached and move in the designated direction.
Note: Comfey will attach itself to the target ally if it's not yet attached to any when using Sweet Kiss. While Comfey is attached, the move can be used normally. |
When using Sweet Kiss, it's best to attach to a melee Pokemon that can charge the frontlines since the move can only affect enemies around Comfey & its host. The move also syngergizes well with disabling moves as it can be used either as a follow up or a setup.
Use Sweet Kiss to attach Comfey to an ally and give it a shield. Utilize this mechanic to save allies from getting knocked out or to push the aggression.
Since Comfey will be attached to an ally, anticipating the ally's intention can make the difference between wasting the move or not. As a rule of thumb, only use Sweet Kiss when the ally is fully committed to a fight.
For maximum effect, always charge Sweet Kiss first. Doing so will increase the move's AoE and effect duration.
Tip: Release the move once the AoE indicator stops expanding. It means that the move is now fully charged. |
Once upgraded, charging Sweet Kiss increases the ally's movement speed. Utilize this buff to help allies escape enemies or chase them.
Use Sweet Kiss to control the enemy's actions during fights. The move inflicts the infatuation status effect on all Pokemon inside the area of effect, forcing them to move towards Comfey and preventing them from performing any actions for the duration. This can be used offensively or defensively depending on the situation.
1.8.1.7 | Shield amount when attaching to an ally increased by around 50% - 70%. Cooldown decreased from 7s to 6s. |
