Phantom Blade Zero Overview
Phantom Blade Zero is an action RPG being developed by S-Games and co-published by Sony PlayStation. The game combines a gritty supernational Ancient China with steampunk elements, allowing a unique combination of a gothic timepiece.
The title stars Soul, an assassin for hire under an organization known as ‘The Order’ that resides in Wulin. However, The Order has set him up for a murder he had not committed, and thus he was captured and sentenced to death. He narrowly escaped captivity, albeit with grave injuries that would eventually lead to his passing. Eventually, he was saved by a magical healer who he stumbled upon in his escape. However, the healer tells him a catch – the cure that saved him from certain death only lasts for 66 days. Soul now ventures across Wulin to exact revenge against The Order and whoever set him up.
As Soul, players will traverse through the semi-open world of a steampunk Ancient China battling supernatural creatures and enemies based on Chinese folklore in action-packed battles.

Phantom Blade Zero Gameplay
Phantom Blade Zero is a fast-paced action-RPG, where its combat takes heavy inspiration from Chinese Martial Arts, from the techniques and weapons used. Players will control Soul as he deflects and dodges enemy attacks and dishes his own stylish slashing and hacking. Notably, the combat choreography appears very exaggerated for a grand effect, reminiscent of Chinese Wuxia films.
