The "Pain Split Build" explanation states that "This build focuses on tanking and reflecting damage using Pain Split and *Curse* ", however, the recommended move shows "Wood Hammer" instead of "Curse".

Horn leech and curse. Horn leech to push them away from there goal plus the the fact that it has no cooldown when curse is at full power. After they are well away from the goal zone, you can start smashing with curse.

I wish trevanent was buffed, it’s a cool character I have used a lot of it in practice, if curse had more range it would definitely help in most matchups.

Also i dont know how but i traumatized cinder ace and charzard because i destroy them so hard even tho im 1 vs 2 them and im laughing when the charzard use unite twice in one game trying to kill me

Trev best build (for me at least) is definitly score shield, focus band, buddy barrier and the moveset are horn leech and wood hammer and the held item is potion or sometimes i also like using goal getter and it works but pot is better

Wait, so if Mime's barrier can counter trev, then snorlax's block should counter trev's horn leech too.

Greedent out-sustains Trevenant via berries. Snorlax and Mamoswine out CC Trevenant. Blastoise outdamages Trevenant.

In my opinion the best build for trevnant is wood hammer, horn leach and potion. My main reasons are is with horn leach and potion you can live forever almost I have sometimes consistently have kept 3 to 4 people in a consistant combo while my team can just rack up damage while I constantly stun them and the ability to stay alive and use potion to stall for your ability and choice band it is just the best build in my opinion although I am open to people correcting me so please do
