Trade Pumpkaboo with Another Player to Get Gourgeist

Pumpkaboo will evolve into Gourgeist when traded to another player. To receive your own Gourgeist, you can send your Pumpkaboo to another person, and then ask them to give it back to you after it has evolved.

Trading Board

Linking Cord is not Available in Legends Z-A

You cannot evolve a wild Pumpkaboo naturally into a Gourgeist, and there is no Linking Cord in Pokemon Legends Z-A that is used for trade evolutions.

If you want to get a Gourgeist fast, trading with other players is the surest and fastest way to do so.

Pumpkaboo Best Nature for Story

Impish or Careful

Nature Stat Changes
Impish Defense, SpAtk
Careful SpDef, SpAtk

Due to Pumpkaboo (Average) having very high Defensive stats, its best natures are either Impish or Careful to boost its Defense or Special Defense further.

Pumpkaboo (Average) also has a better Attack stat compared to its Special Attack, so choosing one of the above natures allows Pumpkaboo (Average) to still deal some damage with its Physical Moves.

Alternative Natures

Nature Stat Changes
Relaxed Defense, Speed
Sassy SpDef, Speed

You can also give Pumpkaboo (Average) either Relaxed or Sassy nature, allowing you to increase your Defense or Special Defense at the cost of reduced Speed.

Keep in mind that giving Pumpkaboo (Average) any of the above two natures will increase the cooldown of moves, putting you at a disadvantage against faster Pokemon.

Use Mints to Change Natures

Mint Usage

If your Pumpkaboo (Average) has a different Nature than the ones we recommend above, you can use a Mint to change its Nature.
