Evolution Chart: How to Evolve Every Pokemon

Staryu Best Nature for Story

Modest or Timid

Nature Stat Changes
Modest SpAtk, Attack
Timid Speed, Attack

Since Staryu is a Fast Special Attacker, it's best Nature is either Modest or Timid to boost its Special Attack or Speed further, while reducing its Attack stat.

Alternative Natures

Nature Stat Changes
Mild SpAtk, Defense
Rash Speed, SpDef

You can also give Staryu either Mild or Rash nature, if you will mainly use it for Story Content.

Keep in mind that giving Staryu any of the above two natures will increase the damage it receives, making it less ideal for Competitive Play and harder post-game content.

Use Mints to Change Natures

Mint Usage

If your Staryu has a different Nature than the ones we recommend above, you can use a Mint to change its Nature.
