Sylveon Evolves with High Friendship While Having a Fairy Type Move

Sylveon evolves from Eevee if you teach it a Fairy-type Move alongside having a high friendship level with it.

Note that not teaching your Eevee a Fairy-type Move while increasing its friendship will evolve your Eevee into an Espeon or Umbreon instead, depending on the time of day.

How to Increase Eevee's Friendship Fast

Equip Soothe Bell and Go to Cafes

It is recommended to have your Eevee hold a Soothe Bell in order for its friendship growth to increase by an extra 50% every time it levels up. You can obtain this after completing the sub mission, "Some Friendly Competition".

You can increase friendship by going to cafes, using Vitamins or Feathers, and walking around with Eevee.

Sylveon Best Nature and Moveset for Story

Modest or Quiet

Nature Stat Changes
Modest SpAtk, Attack
Quiet SpAtk, Speed

Since Sylveon is a Slow Special Attacker, its best Nature is either Modest or Quiet to boost its Special Attack further, while reducing its Attack or Speed stat respectively.

Alternative Natures

Nature Stat Changes
Mild SpAtk, Defense
Rash Speed, SpDef

You can also give Sylveon either Mild or Rash nature, if you will mainly use it for Story Content.

Keep in mind that giving Sylveon any of the above two natures will increase the damage it receives, making it less ideal for Competitive Play and harder post-game content.

Use Mints to Change Natures

Mint Usage

If your Sylveon has a different Nature than the ones we recommend above, you can use a Mint to change its Nature.
Mints Locations and How to Change Nature

Moonblast Pokemon Fairy Type Icon 8
Psychic Pokemon Psychic Type Icon 8
Iron Tail Pokemon Steel Type Icon 10
Draining Kiss Pokemon Fairy Type Icon 7

We recommend the moves Moonblast, Iron Tail, Psychic, and Draining Kiss when using Sylveon during the main story.
