Trade Mega Shards in Quasartico Inc.

Trade Mega Shards in Quasartico Inc headquarters

After completing Main Mission 35, Malamarite can be acquired by exchanging 240 Mega Shards in the Quasartico Inc. headquarters. You can get Mega Shards by destroying clusters of it around the Lumiose City.

The Mega Stone is obtainable through this method only and players cannot have more than one Malamarite per save file. They also cannot give away Mega Stones through trading Pokemon that are holding them.

Mega Evolve by pressing Right Analog Stick
Trigger Mega Power

The Malamarite is used to Mega Evolve Malamar which temporarily buffs their base stats and changes their abilities. This can be accomplished by equipping the stone to the relevant Pokemon, then filling up and activating the Mega Power bar.
