Vivillon Best Nature and Moveset for Story

Modest or Timid

Nature Stat Changes
Modest SpAtk, Attack
Timid Speed, Attack

Since Vivillon is a Fast Special Attacker, it's best Nature is either Modest or Timid to boost its Special Attack or Speed further, while reducing its Attack stat.

Alternative Natures

Nature Stat Changes
Mild SpAtk, Defense
Rash Speed, SpDef

You can also give Vivillon either Mild or Rash nature, if you will mainly use it for Story Content.

Keep in mind that giving Vivillon any of the above two natures will increase the damage it receives, making it less ideal for Competitive Play and harder post-game content.

Use Mints to Change Natures

Mint Usage

If your Vivillon has a different Nature than the ones we recommend above, you can use a Mint to change its Nature.
Mints Locations and How to Change Nature

Best Vivillon Moveset for the Story

Move Type Cooldown
Air Slash Pokemon Flying Type Icon 7
Bug Buzz Pokemon Bug Type Icon 8
Safeguard Pokemon Normal Type Icon 12
Stun Spore Pokemon Grass Type Icon 10

We recommend the moves Bug Buzz, Air Slash, Stun Spore, and Safeguard when using Vivillon during the main story.

This information isn't fully correct; meadow form is NOT the only vivillon form in the game! I'm not entirely certain to the extent of it, but after getting the gift Spewpa from the museum side quest and evolving it, it had the Marine Pattern! I'm not sure the extent to this; if it just gives one at random, if you can get the others in game, and I wish I could know, so hopefully others can contribute.
