Fires electricity at a target area, damaging and stunning enemy Pokemon.
Even if Thunder Shock is a single-target move, it deals area damage around the initial target. Utilize this area damage on grouped enemies or wild Pokemon.
Thunder Shock is your primary damage move in the early-game. Use its long cast range and damage to steal wild Pokemon from your enemy from a safe distance or while hiding inside grass.
Generally, each lane has the same amount of wild Pokemon for each team to clear out. However, the top and bottom lane have an extra wild Pokemon located just outside the entrance to the center of the map. These extra Pokemon determines which team gains a level and point advantage in the game, especially during the early-game. Lure these wild Pokemon inside grass to secure them.
Grass Guide: How Does Grass Work?
If you're at the top lane, a Corphish spawns at the 9:40 mark near the entrance to the center of the map. You can secure the kill by using Thunder Shock, luring the wild Pokemon in the grass near your first goal zone.
If your're at the bottom lane, an Audino spawns at the 9:45 mark near the entrance to the center of the map. Compared to Corphish, Audino does not stay inside the grass long when lured, preventing it from being concealed from the enemy while you try to secure it. With this in mind, it's best to defeat Audino as fast as you can before it goes back to its original position.
