Breeding Is Not in the Game
Unlike previous Pokemon games, breeding is not possible in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, which means that breeding for starters, shinies, or perfect IVs and natures cannot be done in this game.
What To Do Instead of Breeding

Catch Starters During Post-Game
If you're looking to breed for your starter Pokemon, you can instead catch them in Wild Zone 20 once you beat the game.In this Wild Zone, you can also get the rest of the Z-A starter trio as well as the Kanto starter trio.
Hunt for Shinies in Wild Zones
Instead of trying to breed Shiny Pokemon, you can hunt for them in Wild Zones instead. Since Shiny Pokemon do not despawn in Legends Z-A, you do not have to worry about losing them even if you don't spot them the first time around.
Use Mints and Bottle Caps for Stats
While you can't breed Pokemon with preferable IVs or natures, the game has Mints that you can use to change your Pokemon's natures, and you can use bottle caps to improve your Pokemon's IVs.
