Trainer Legacy Showdown is a new battle mode added to Pokemon UNITE on September 9, 2022! This mode features 5 players teaming up to battle trainers from various Pokemon generations. Read on to learn about Trainer Legacy Showdown's mechanics and gameplay!

How to Start Legacy Trainer Showdown
Access From Main Menu
You can access Legacy Trainer Showdown mode by selecting the extra button beside the UNITE Battle button. This will take you to the Legacy Trainer Showdown event screen where you can also check the progress of your missions and claim rewards.
Access from Unite Battle
Alternatively, you also access the Legacy Trainer Showdown mode by selecting the Unite Battle Button and switching the match type to Standard. From here, you can select the Theia Sky Ruins option that has the Legacy Trainer Showdown subtitle.

You will need to have a Trainer Battle Ticket before you can start the mode.
Players can obtain 1 FREE ticket daily after logging in, or you can buy the item in the Aeos Emporium in-game shop for 200 Aeos Coins if you want to play more games.
Ticket Requirements Per Difficulty

When going for higher difficulties, you must first complete the easier option before it a certain number of times before proceeding. Each difficulty will require one (1) Trainer Battle Ticket to participate.
Legacy Trainer Showdown Mechanics and Features
New PvE Event in Pokemon UNITE
Legacy Trainer Showdown is a new Standard Battle format game mode in Pokemon UNITE. Here, five (5) players will team up to fight powerful, A.I controlled Trainers from across all Pokemon generations in a standard match in Theia Sky Ruins.

Choose Between Three Difficulty Modes
You may also choose between four difficulty modes, Casual, Intermediate, Expert, and Extreme with each having its set Trainers who will participate in the match.
Take note that you have to finish the easier difficulty first before proceeding. So, if you want to participate in the Extreme difficulty, you have to finish the event in Casual, Intermediate, then Expert!
Trainer Battle Coins Per Difficulty

Each difficulty option rewards a different amount of Trainer Battle Coins. The harder the difficulty, the more coins you get.
Take note that you can only receive up to 25 Trainer Battle Coins per day. However, the limit is only for the coins you receive for winning battles and does not count the coins you get for completing challenge missions.

Tips for Playing Legacy Trainer Showdown
Battle With Friends
For a better chance of winning the challenges, it is best to team up with your Friends or Squad. Not only will this make the challenge easier, but it will also make progress the mission faster!
Use Score-Stacking Items
For higher difficulties, it is best to run equip score-stacking Held Items like Attack Weight and Sp. Atk. Specs to get ahead in stats. Since the enemy AI is not aware of this mechanic, you will have an easier time reaching the full stacks, even during the early game!
Surrenders When Lead in Points is High
When the match time reaches the 5-minute (5:00) mark, the opposing team will automatically surrender if your team is leading by 300+ points. However, if the number is not met at that time, the opposing team will surrender when the lead reaches 500+ points.
