Has the user rupture the ground in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon in the area of effect and decreasing their movement speed for a short time. For a short time afterward, when the user performs a basic of boosted attack, it will gather all of its energy and release it all at once as a cannon of light. These cannon attacks have increased range and deal damage to all opposing Pokemon hit by the light. Boosted cannon attacks deal more damage than basic cannon attacks and also decrease the movement speed of opposing Pokemon they hit for a short time.
Always activate Flash Cannon in strategic spots, such as in grass areas, inside allied goal zones, or behind walls. This ensures that you'll be able to attack from a safe position and utilize the increased attack range.
You can use Battle Items during Flash Cannon without cancelling it.
Items like Slow Smoke and Potion are a good defense tool while attacking with Flash Cannon. Activating this while stuck in one place improves chances of survivability. If you want more damage, equip X Attack instead.
You can use Dragon Tail to create space between you and an approaching enemy without canceling Flash Cannon. This discourages them from getting closer to you while you're immobilized.
Using Dragon Tail makes your next attack a boosted attack during Flash Cannon. Utilize this effect to deal significant burst damage in a few attacks.
