Steps to Respec Ascendancy Classes |

The first thing you need to do to respec into another Ascendancy is to redo an Ascendancy Trial. Do not leave the trial immediately after completing it, as you will need to interact with the Ascension Device to respec your Ascendancy.
You must choose a trial that grants you the same amount of Ascendancy Points you currently have. Here is a list of different level trials you can take on depending on the number of Ascension Points you need.
Ascendancy Points | How to Respec Ascendancy |
---|---|
2 Ascendancy Skill Points |
Complete either:
1-Floor Trial of the Sekhemas via Djinn Barya or 4-Round Trial of Chaos via Inscribed Ultimatum |
4 Ascendancy Skill Points |
Complete either:
2-Floor Trial of the Sekhemas via Djinn Barya or 7-Round Trial of Chaos via Lv.55+ Inscribed Ultimatum |
6 Ascendancy Skill Points |
Complete either:
3-Floor Trial of the Sekhemas via Lv.60+ Djinn Barya or 10-Round Trial of Chaos via Lv.65+ Inscribed Ultimatum |
8 Ascendancy Skill Points |
Defeat either:
Zarokh, the Temporal at the end of a 4-Floor Trial of the Sekhemas via Lv.75+ Djinn Barya or The Trialmaster at the end of a 10-Round Trial of Chaos with the Cowardly Fate, Deadly Fate, and Victorious Fate items in a Lv.65+ Inscribed Ultimatum |
Once you've cleared the Ascendancy Trial, speak to Balbala or The Trialmaster and choose to unallocate all of your Ascendancy Points.
Take note that unallocating a single Ascendancy Passive skill will cost five times more than respeccing a normal passive point.
How to Get More Ascendancy Skill Points
After resetting your Ascendancy Points, you can use the Ascension Device to select a new Ascendancy within the same class. Make sure none of your Ascendancy Points have been allocated, otherwise you won't be able to respec.
List of Classes and Ascendancies
There are many different enemies in Path of Exile 2 so there may be times where you'll need to make adjustments to your build to deal with certain bosses.
Sometimes, swapping out a few pieces of gear won't be enough, so respeccing your Ascendancy could be what you need to clear that next objective.
Respeccing Ascendancies can also be done to help you make the transition to endgame content. Some skills can be extremely helpful early on but become much less impactful as you gain access to more passives and equipment.
