Patch 0.4.0 Changes
・Skills have been rebalanced across the board, including damage number adjustments, functionality improvements, and description updates.
・All Ascendancy Skills are now automatically activated when granted (some previously required the player to manually activate them).
・Several skill improvements include the ability to socket Ember Fusillade, Frost Darts, and Bone Cage into Spell Totem, increased Cross Slash Shockwave Damage, enhanced Arctic Howl, refined Summoned Wolves' AI, damage reductions for various monsters, and clarified skills.

Gem Skills

Gem Skills are the primary way of obtaining skills. Simply right-click on an Uncut Skill Gem, Uncut Spirit Gem, or Uncut Support Gem to open the Gemcutting menu and equip your chosen skill.

Some equipment such as Unique Wands, Sceptres, and Staves grant skills when equipped. The level of the granted skill is tied to the level of the equipment itself.

Some Ascendancy classes also provide skills when you invest Ascendancy Skill Points. The earliest you can unlock your Ascendancy is by completing the Trial of the Sekhemas during Act 2.

Active Abilities Used in Combat

Skills encompass a range of abilities that provide offensive, defensive, and supportive functions in combat. They can also be augmented with Support Gems.

Skills are obtained from multiple sources, including Uncut Gems, some Unique Equipment, and Ascendancy classes.
