Bind Spectre is an occult summon skill that allows you to raise spectres from the dead in Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2). Learn the mechanics of this unique summoning skills, how binded spectres work, and how to raise spectres.
List of Contents
Raise Spectre is a feature that allows you to summon slain enemies into your own minions. They function similarly to raised minions and their skills and capabilities will be the same moveset they have as regular enemies.
If you manage to turn rare monsters to spectres, do know that they won't be able to carry over their modifiers as rare enemies. It's more important to determine the monster type you wish to turn to spectres.
Not all spectres have the same cost when summoned as a minion. Each spectre have their own respective spirit cost. Stronger and bigger monsters will naturally have higher spirit costs than weaker and smaller monsters so take your spirit limit into consideration.
Spirit Resource Explained: How to Get More Spirit
As raised spectres function the same as raised skeletons, they will also naturally respawn when slain after a few seconds. No need to worry and protect your spectres and let them fight for you.
The Tame Beast skill that summons a companion functions almost similarly to the raise spectre skill but essential differences. The Tame Beast can only raise a single Beast-type enemy along with its modifiers while Spectres can be an army of any non-boss monster which functions similar to other summoned units.
Tame Beast Explained: Gem Effects and How to Get
Bind Spectre is a level 7 Occult Skill and therefore requires at least a Level 7 Uncut Skill Gem. Monsters can start dropping one halfway through Act 2 in locations with an area level of at least 27.
The Bind Spectre skill is a castable skill that allows you to convert a slain corpse into a Spectre. Once done, the spectre will be added to your summonable units which you can summon from the skill menu.
On the skill menu, toggle the minion count from the spectre skill to summon your spectres and fight for you automatically.

Not exactly a permanent bond. Here's how Raise Spectre works: when you use the skill on a corpse, it binds that spectre to the skill gem itself. The gem effectively "remembers" that spectre type. You can always remove or swap the gem, so it's not a permanent connection — but that specific gem will always summon that spectre type unless overwritten. If you want to summon a different spectre type, you'd need to use a different gem or overwrite the one you're using. Hope that helps!
