Once players use up all 24 free character slots in Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2), they can get more by purchasing them on the in-game microtransactions page or their website. See the default number of character slots players get and how to get more here!

| 1 |  Log in to the game and select any character to play. Once loaded in, open the microtransaction shop by pressing the "M" key or opening the game's menu, using the "Esc" key, and clicking the Microtransaction Shop button. |
| 2 |  Click on the Shop tab on the left panel, then click on Account Features on the first column, third row. Once there, players can click on the Extra Character Slot item and purchase it for 30 points (i.e., the game's paid currency). |

Buy at a Discount
If players want to save on money, they can wait and buy extra character slots at a discount when the item goes on sale, much like when Stash Tabs go on sale.

How Many Character Slots Do You Get?
Maximum of 24 Free Character Slots
By default, players can get 24 maximum free character slots across all leagues in the game's early access. Once you use all slots, they will not be allowed to create more characters until they either delete a character or purchase more character slots.
