The Infernalist is an ascendancy of the Witch class in Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2) that focuses on harnessing the power of hellfire and brimstone. Learn more about the Infernalist's mechanics, its confirmed skills, and its base class!
Upon ascending into the Infernalist, the Witch takes on a Pyromantic Pact to fuel her flamebound incantations. The Pyromantic Pact replaces their usual mana bar with Infernal Flame. Instead of consuming mana, spells build up Infernal Flame with each cast.
With the Pyromantic Pact, you will now be able to cast your spells without having to worry about mana consumption. Instead, you will now have to regulate your use of skills and keep your Infernal Flame at stable levels as exceeding the maximum cap will damage you by a significant amount.
This comes with either refraining from using your abilities and stabilizing your heat levels or sacrificing a portion of your health to unleash more hell. Overall, the Infernalist requires you to adopt a high-risk/high-reward playstyle that is sure to keep you on your toes!
As an envoy of the Infernal Flame, the Infernalist will have the forces of hell at their beck and call on top of their undead summons. Like with the Loyal Hellhound, hell-based minions will most probably deal Fire damage to further support the Infernalist's kit.
The Infernalist ascendancy entirely focuses on maneuvering the Infernal Flame mechanic to bring hell on earth and drag opponents down to hell. Listed below are the skills shown in the Infernalist Ascendancy showcase:

To become an Infernalist, one must take on the Witch as their starting class and complete their Ascension Trials. The other ascended option of the Witch would be the Blood Mage.
Due to the Witch's squishy and less mobile nature, it is recommended to take on Ascension Trials with minimal environmental hazards to minimize the risk of dying!
