Get as Much Damage as Possible for This Fight

While Mektul has a few dangerous attacks, the real challenge in this fight is the time limit. If you take too long, molten gold will flood the arena, dealing heavy Fire Damage every second. Adjust and optimize your build to ensure you defeat Mektul before the arena is overwhelmed!

Make Upgrades to Your Weapons

For attack-based builds, prioritize flat damage modifiers like Adds X to Y Physical Damage or similar bonuses in other damage types. For spellcasters, the best modifier to get is +X to Level of All Y Spell Skills, while Gain X% of Damage as Extra Y Damage would be the next best for increasing spell damage.

Adjust Your Support Gems for Full Damage

For this fighting Mektul, you can compromise on speed, defense, or comfort for more damage by adjusting your Support Gems. Try to look for utility Support Gems that you can swap out to maximize your skill damage output.

Use Debuffs to Weaken Mektul

Debuffs can significantly increase your damage. Skills that apply Armor Break, Exposure, Wither and skills like Curses and Marks, can weaken Mektul and amplify your damage. Incorporating these debuffs can be a game-changer in the fight.

Mektul, the Forgemaster, can be tricky to defeat, especially if you do not have ranged attacks. Aside from beating the boss before lava fills the area, Mektul has several AoE attacks that prevent you from getting too close. Lure Mektul away from the flowing lava by moving away from him, but don't lure him out too far, or he will go back into the lava.
