Sell if You Need Gold

If you need gold to spend on a specific piece of equipment you have been eyeing, you can sell your equipment for some coin! To sell your equipment, interact with any available vendor in safe zones.

Selling your extra equipment, however, is not often recommended since you will get better use of it through dismantling. But if you do so, there are other ways to spend the gold you have earned!

Feature	Description
Gambling	Some specific vendors will allow you to gamble, wherein you can pick a specific equipment type and then get a random item from that pool.
Respec	You can now spend Gold to easily revert the skills you initially allocated into. This is a new feature added in PoE 2 to allow players to explore the vast build customization the game is known for!
Currency Exchange	In exchange for a small gold fee, you can exchange currencies with other players. This should be done when you are missing specific currency items for a piece of equipment!

Dismantle for Modding Equipment

If you are comfortable with your current set-up and are looking for ways to enhance it, you can choose to dismantle your extra equipment for some Currency Items! To dismantle your equipment, interact with a Magic Item vendor and press the "Dismantle Items" option.

Overall, dismantling equipment should be in your best interest as it is a better option than selling them. This is the case because dismantling certain items you obtain while traversing the Atlas will reward you with specific currencies.

Mods

Dismantling equipment rewards you with orbs that allow you to transmute mods into your equipment, providing unique passives to play around with! However, keep in mind that enchanting a piece of equipment follows a sequence that prevents you from skipping to a higher level.

Furthermore, if you dismantle items with a certain rarity, you will receive their corresponding Orb:

• Magic Items ▶︎ Orb of Transmutation
• Rare Items ▶︎ Regal Orbs

Sockets and Enhancements

Some of the equipment you come upon will have more quality than others and hold sockets that allow you to slot in runes, giving them additional boons and further adding complexity to building your equipment!

To transfer these qualities and sockets to your preferred weapon, you must use the Salvage Bench and salvage items with these bonuses to get their respective currencies. Afterward, simply use said currencies on your desired equipment.
