Path of Exile 2 - Sell, Salvage or Disenchant

Know which items are best to sell, salvage or disenchant in Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2). Read to see whether or not you should sell, salvage or disenchant your equipment, and how to do them!

Should You Sell, Salvage or Disenchant Equipment?

Items to Sell

  1. Normal Items
  2. Magic Items
  3. Sell everything if you need Gold

Sell Magic Items or Lower

We recommend selling all Magic (Blue) items or lower, as their value goes way down the farther you get into the game. Selling these items can give you money to spend for Skill Respecs.

Sell Everything if You Are Low on Gold

It's okay to sell any and all equipment if you are critically low on Gold, as you need this currency to purchase basic things in-game.

Below are a list of ways you can spend your Gold, however we recommend only Skill Respecs and purchasing new gear from Vendors.

Ways to Spend Gold
Gambling Some specific vendors will allow you to gamble, wherein you can pick a specific equipment type and then get a random item from that pool.
Skill Respec You can respec and reset the Skill points you used on Passives of your choice.
Currency Exchange In exchange for a small gold fee, you can exchange currencies with other players. This should be done when you are missing specific currency items for a piece of equipment!

Disenchant Magic and Rare Items if You Need to Mod Equipment

Disenchanting equipment rewards you with orbs that allow you to transmute mods into your equipment, providing unique passives to play around with. If you are looking for ways to enhance your current gear, you can choose to disenchant your extra equipment for some Currency Items.
