0.3.0 Patch Notes
Most of the Acolyte of Chayula's notables have been changed. Lucid Dreaming, Grasp of the Void, Waking Dream, and Embrace the Darkness have received changes to their effects.
Additionally, several of the nodes have been renamed. Reality Rending is now called Sap of Nightmares, Inner Silence is now Deepening Shadows, and Consuming Questions is now called Unravelling. The effects of these nodes have been adjusted as well.

The best ascendancy skills for the Acolyte of Chayula are the Chayula's Gift and Waking Dream due to their usefulness for most builds. Chayula's Gift is extremely helpful to survive endgame encounters with enemies that use Chaos, it also makes it easier to cap Chaos Resistance which is hard to obtian.
Waking Dream allows players to recover life and mana, while also being able to obtain damage buffs from the flames of Chayula. This is extremely helpful for sustaining life, mana, and damage in prolonged fights and mob encounters.
Acolyte of Chayula Ascendancy Mechanics
Can Utilize Flames of Chayula
Acolytes can use the Flames of Chayula to recover life and mana. They can also use these flames to gain stacks of increased Chaos Damage, allowing them to increase their damage in any given situation.
Has the Option to Use Darkness
Acolytes can also use Darkness in exchange for their Spirit resource. Gaining darkness essentially removes the ability to use Persistent Skills, in exchange Acolytes obtain increased Defense and Chaos Damage.

Ascends from the Monk
Start as a Monk and complete an Ascension Trial to ascend into an Acolyte of Chayula. Completing an Ascension Trial will also give you the option to ascend into an Invoker.

Anonymous 12 monthsYou got one thing wrong. Even though "Consuming Questions" says that your energy shield doesn't recharge, and your mana leech will recharge energy shield, what really happens is that your energy shield doesn't just recharge any more. Mana leech doesn't infact recharge the energy shield.
