Helmets are armor pieces that provide both defense and utility with their high armour values and flexible modifiers.
Body Armour is the armor piece that provides the most amount of defense in terms of Armour. Modifiers found on Body Armour are focused on survival and sustain.
Gloves, similar to Helmets, provide a small amount of armor but can give offensive stats and utility through its available modifiers.
Boots provides a considerable amount of defense, but is mostly distinguished by its capability to provide Movement Speed bonus through its modifiers. Having good movement speed is key to faster progression in the game.
Shields are off-hand items that you can equip to block incoming enemy attacks. They may also provide additional defensive skills to help you survive against enemy attacks.
Similar to shields, foci are off-hand equipment that provide additional defense through Energy Shield.
Bucklers are off-hand armors mainly used for parrying incoming attacks. This allows you to block the hit and stagger the enemy, leaving them off balance and more vulnerable to incoming damage.
Armors can provide various forms of defense, such as defense, evasion, or energy shield. These stats will determine how much damage your character can absorb and it impacts the durability of your character. The armors can also be modified to gain additional effects and bonuses.
