How to Unlock Land of the Kin
Unlock Boat Charter in Act 4
You can unlock this quest by sailing to the Isle of Kin using the ship in Kingsmarch.

Explore the Isle of Kin
From the ship in Kingsmarch, sail to the Isle of Kin. You will need to look for the entrance to the Volcanic Warrens, which is where the area's main boss is. You can also encounter several optional bosses within the area.
Look for the Flayed Sailor
Within the Isle of Kin, look for a Flayed Sailor nearby a checkpoint. Interacting with this will drop a Torn Map Piece, which is important for the Forgotten Bounty quest.

Enter and Explore the Volcanic Warrens
The Volcanic Warrens is crawling with a wide variety of fire-based enemies, so make sure to boost your fire resistance! Keep going through the area's pathways until you find an area called The Tyrant's Throne. There is a checkpoint nearby, and it serves as the boss area for Krutog, Lord of Kin.
Defeat Krutog, Lord of Kin
Krutog, Lord of Kin is a large boss that uses a variety of slams and lightning-based attacks to deal damage. This boss will drop one of the weapon pieces needed to progress through Act 4.

Land of the Kin leads to the Trial of the Ancestors side quest. Defeat Krutog, Lord of Kin to obtain one of the weapon pieces needed during Act 4 of the campaign.
