New 0.4.0 The Last of the Druids Items

New Items for Progression and Vaal Temple Crafting

The 0.4.0 Update introduces a new league mechanic called Fate of the Vaal. This mechanic adds new currency items, including ones that allow you to corrupt already corrupted items, resulting in a Twice Corrupted outcome!

New 0.4.0 (The Last of the Druids) Items

Socketables or Augment Changes

Socketable items are now referred to as Augments, while Rune Sockets are now called Augment Sockets. Several balance changes have been made to these Augment items. Most notably, many Runes, Soul Cores, and Idols (previously known as Talismans) are now restricted so that each character can only equip one copy of a specific Augment at a time.

Currency Items are used in crafting and upgrading equipment. They have various effects on equipment such as upgrading its quality and modifying its affixes.

Most of these items are essentially crafting materials, but they are also used for trading and bartering with other players, which is why they are called Currency Items.

Quest items are used to progress or complete certain quests. They cannot be sold to vendors or stored in your stash and remain in your inventory until it's used during the quest.

Other quest items also grant stats, passive abilities, and other bonuses when consumed like the Book of Specialisation which gives two Weapon Set Skill Points.

No Differences in Drop Rates Across Difficulties

Item drop rates are the same in both Normal and Hardcore difficulties. The only way to get items with better rarity is by equipping gear with the affix containing Increased Rarity of Items Found.
