General Tips to Defeat Bosses |
---|
|
Charms are the most versatile equipment slot in your arsenal and can be easily swapped for others to aid you in reducing the damage you take, or granting you immunity to ailments that could lead to your death.
The modifiers on your armors are not the only important thing to look out for when upgrading your equipment. Also consider the amount of base defenses (Armor, Energy Shield, or Evasion) a piece of armor can provide which helps in surviving fights. Better weapon Base Types also have better damage stats or Spells which can be crucial to increasing your damage potential.
Never underestimate getting as much Resistances you can get from your gear as they can greatly decrease the damage you take from Elemental and Chaos damage. Rings are a great way to start to get more Resistances since Sapphire, Ruby, and Topaz rings give Resistances as their Implicit Modifier.
Don't forget that there are multiple ways to upgrade your gear to prepare for a boss. Adding Quality to your gear with Blacksmith Whetstones or Armorer Scraps, adding sockets with Artificer Orbs to slot in Runes, or adding Explicit Modifiers through different Crafting Currencies all good ways prepare for a difficult fight.
Path of Exile 2 will feature over 100 bosses, as confirmed by the Game Directors in various pre-release videos. Future expansions will continue to add even more, ensuring a steadily growing roster of challenging encounters.
At the start of Early Access, the game will include 50 bosses. This reduced number is due to the removal of Acts 4 to 6, allowing the developers to concentrate on the Atlas endgame content. While unconfirmed, additional bosses may be introduced during the Early Access period, which is expected to last at least six months.
