Reforging Benches in Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2) allows you to reforge three items of the same type to a new one with upgraded or re-rolled properties. Read on for a guide on how to unlock and use Reforging Benches, and all the Reforging Benches recipes.

How to Unlock the Reforging Bench
Unlocked After Treasures of Utzaal Quest
You can unlock the Reforging Bench by completing the Act 3 Treasures of Utzaal Optional Quest. This requires you to defeat Mektul, the Forgemaster in the Molten Vault and brining the Hammer of Kamasa quest item to Oswald in the Ziggurat Encampment.
The entrance to the Molten Vault can be found in the Drowned City after clearing out the flood as part of the Legacy of the Vaal Main Quest.

How to Use the Reforging Bench
Put Three Items of the Same Type
You need to have three of the same item bases, all of the same rarity. They can have different affixes, so long as the base names are the same, and they are of equal rarity.
Once you have all three items assembled in the three slots of the bench, hit Reforge to combine all three items into the same item but with rerolled additional effects.

A new item of the same base type and rarity with rerolled modifiers. This item inherits the lowest Item Level from the sacrificed items. |
One of the uses of the Regorging Bench is to reroll the modifiers on an item. This is best used when trying to recycle items of the same base type after crafting. For example, after identifying and crafting multiple rare Dual String Bows, you can reroll the worst ones into a possibly better one with the modifier reroll recipe.

The Reforging Bench can also upgrade items into higher tiers. Waystones, Runes, Essences, and Liquid Emotions can all be reforged to a higher tier. This can be useful at any stage of the game, especially upgraded runes.

Some items, can be rerolled into a entirely different kind of the same item type. Soul Cores and Catalysts, for example, do not have tiers and would therefore reforge into a random item instead.

A Reforging Bench will appear close to the Salvage Bench in Clearfell Encampment.

A Reforging Bench will appear at the center of The Ardura Caravan, near the Well, Salvage Bench, and Stash.

A Reforging Bench will appear to the left of the Salvage Bench in the Ziggurat Encampment in Act 3.

Act 4 - Kingsmarch
The reforging bench in this location can be found beside the Act 4 town's Waypoint.
Interlude Act
The Interlude Act towns also contain their own Reforging Benches and the rest of the necessary NPCs and tools.
Hideout
The Hideout is your own personal base that you can unlock by completing the Hostile Takeover quest from Ange in Act 4.
You can freely organize multiple NPCs and other useful tools here, including the Reforging Bench.
