Freedom of Faith Nerf and Exploit Fix
The Freedom of Faith Unique Tablet can now only reroll Favours at Ritual Altars twice per map, down from infinite rerolls.
This change applies retroactively to existing items and influenced maps. The nerf follows the discovery and fix of a major exploit involving this item. Abuse has been halted, and bans plus economic rollbacks are underway to address the issue and restore balance.
New Spear Skill: Cull the Weak
Introducing Cull the Weak, a fast dash Spear skill that incorporates Culling Strike and grants a Frenzy Charge when it kills enemies. This skill is available starting at Uncut Gem Tier 3+, and Spearfield has been moved up to Tier 5+.
Elemental Sundering and Whirlwind Lance Improvements
Elemental Sundering now pauses Freeze, Shock, and Ignite ailments while building up to explode, and it consumes these ailments when detonating.
This adjustment ensures that ailment-driven builds feel smoother and more cohesive. In addition, Whirlwind Lance's additional and barraged projectiles now cluster more tightly, improving the skill's consistency and accuracy in hitting targets
Various Bug Fixes
A couple of important bugs have been fixed, including Flesh Larva monsters no longer being imprisoned in Essences and Answered Call Warbringer Ascendancy now properly triggering Ancestral Spirits on Totem summon. The Convalescence bug that shapeshifted you out of Demon Form has been resolved, and melee splash radius modifiers now apply correctly.
Additionally, Toxic Growth can now be supported by Overabundance.

This patch includes changes to the Freedom of Faith Unique Tablet, a new Spear skill, and various bug fixes.
The Freedom of Faith Unique Tablet now has the property "Can Reroll Favours at Ritual Altars in your Maps twice as many times" (down from infinite rerolls). This affects existing versions of the item and maps influenced by it. This change comes after the discovery and resolution of an item exploit that occurred approximately 8 hours ago, which is now fixed. We're actively banning players who exploited this and removing the wealth generated from it. Balance changes: ・ Added a new Spear skill: Cull the Weak. A fast dash with Culling Strike that grants a Frenzy Charge on kill. ・ Cull the Weak is available at uncut gem tier 3+. ・ Spearfield has been moved from tier 3+ to tier 5+. ・ Elemental Sundering now pauses Freeze, Shock, and Ignites on targets as it builds up to explode, consuming them on explosion (instead of removing them at the start of buildup). ・ Whirlwind Lance's additional and barraged projectiles are now distributed closer together, with a spread on and behind the targeted location. Bug Fixes: ・ Flesh Larva monsters can no longer be imprisoned in Essences. ・ Fixed a bug where the Ancestral Spirits skill (from the Answered Call Warbringer Ascendancy Passive) wasn't triggering when Summoning a Totem. ・ Fixed a bug where taming a beast in the Trial of the Sekhemas or Trials of Chaos could block progress. ・ Fixed a bug where Convalescence would shapeshift you out of Demon Form. ・ Fixed a bug where modifiers to melee splash radius were applying twice. ・ Fixed a bug where the Connal, the Tormented fight in the Willow Map wouldn't restart correctly after failure. ・ Fixed a bug where Toxic Growth could not be supported by Overabundance. This patch has been deployed without restarting the servers, so you will need to restart your client to receive the client changes. |
