The first race event in Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2) will have players start with a new character to beat Doryani in Act 3 as fast as possible and begin on March 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM (PST). Learn the mechanics of the race event, including the schedule and rewards related to this event!

First Race Event Mechanics

Join Through the Character Select Screen

To participate in the Race Event, click on the prompt on the bottom right of the Character Select screen. You will then receive a prompt to create a new character based around the six classes available, so pick the class you are most confident and comfortable in playing as.

Swiftly Defeat Doryani in Act 3

The main goal of the Race Event is that you will need to defeat Doryani in Act 3 in record time. The race will have you start over from Act 1 up to Act 3 in Standard Mode. While it is not in Hardcore Mode, you will incur a one-minute penalty upon death, barring you from movement.

The race will have a Self-Found fixed layout to guarantee fairness for all the participating players, allowing the possibility of forming strategies unique only to the race!

First Race Event Schedule

Starts at 19:00 Local Server Time

Note: This table is included to provide samples on different timezones. These times can be subject to change depending on your server time!

The first Race Event will start on March 2, specifically at 19:00 local server time (GMT). Afterward, there will be the second race on March 9, and the third and final on March 16; both starting at 19:00 local server time.

All players will start the race simultaneously, so it would be best to join the races as early as possible to avoid giving other players a headstart!

First Race Event Rewards

Demigod's Virtue

The top placement for each of the six classes will receive the Demigod's Virtue Golden Visage unique item as a reward, once per each race, meaning you can get multiple stacks if you are that good!

A Remove-Only Stash Tab will be available for a month after the race, where the item is slotted in for you to retrieve your reward. After receiving the item, you are free to do with the item as you please, even trade them.

Alienware m16 R2 Gaming Laptop

The player who has the fastest overall time in the final race held on March 16 will receive an Alienware m16 R2 Gaming Laptop with a custom decal of The Hooded One for their efforts!
